Background

Emergent began in March 2004 as a business development services
firm.  We fill a niche between new technologies and consulting
companies who represent a substantial route to market.

We help our technology partners reach markets quicker and more
successfully.  We target best of breed companies who are looking
to address larger clients through a consulting channel strategy.

Small technology companies are looking for channels through which
to sell their products, while consulting firms strive to remain on the
cutting edge of technology.  A niche between the two exists
because the consulting companies are reluctant to partner with
companies not fully established in the market, thereby creating a
barrier to entry for the technology company.


Leadership

President/CEO - Travis Wilhite
      Mr. Wilhite began Emergent after leaving IBM in January.  As a
Client Executive on the Consultants & Integrators team for the
past four years, Mr. Wilhite successfully sold IBM technology
through consulting channel partners.  Prior to that Mr. Wilhite was
an Account Executive with PurchasePro.com and a Regional Sales
Representative for Dell Computers.
